Asturias, Spain is one of the most amazing places in Europe for landscape and nature photography. It is comprised of rugged coastline featuring Flysch formations of sedimentary rock that are both bewildering and fascinating from a visual and photographic perspective. The area is filled with ancient culture, proud and kind people, and geography that is diverse and photographically challenging. In the spring of 2023, I was invited to the awards gala of the Memorial Maria Luisa Photography competition, having won honorable mention with one of my Colorado photographs. The experience was both humbling and rewarding. While there, I spent 7 additional days making images along the Spanish coast with my best friend Kane Engelbert. I hope you enjoy!
