Fallen Electricity (2020) — This single aspen leaf caught my attention on a slow walk through the woods in a very remote area of Colorado. The wood I found nearby was an exposed fallen aspen tree with these knotted and curved textures that I grew fascinated with immediately. I wanted to pair the electrical leaf with the textures to create awesome color separation. Autumn in Colorado is one of my favorite events of the year. There's nothing else like it for photography.

Patience and Time — 36 hours without sleep. This was my reward - witnessing one of the most magical sunrises ever from the summit of 13,835 ft. Turret Peak - marking the 88th mountain out of Colorado's highest 100 that I have climbed. The sun rose so brightly behind Jagged Mountain and Rio Grand Pyramid that I thought for sure I had fell asleep and began to dream. Discernable rays of light spread out from behind Jagged and lit the clouds a crimson and purple combination, which I can only describe as scintillating.

With lockdowns occurring and uncertainty with the economy weighing on all of our minds, I totally appreciate the fact that not a lot of people are in a space to buy right now. Marsh Marigolds — On my final evening near Silverton, Colorado, I was captivated by the early sunset light beaming into the basin, illuminating the marsh marigold flowers and the final remnants of snow. Nature rocks.
