Silverton Photography

Silverton is a small mountain town in southwest Colorado found deep in the heart of the San Juan Mountains. Silverton was founded in 1874 and was established as a base of operations for mining both gold and silver found in the high peaks of the area. The town sits at 9,318 feet of elevation between the cities of Durango to the south and the town of Ouray to the north with mountain passes separating Silverton from each. Most famously, Red Mountain Pass, which is also known as the Million Dollar Highway, climbs up and over high mountainous terrain with steep drop-offs found on the western side of the road. It is a spectacular area filled with incredible mountain vistas. In this online gallery, you can find fine art prints for sale of the Silverton area which have been curated to represent only my best work.
