Your artwork is printed on beautiful Canson Infinity Platine Fibre Rag Paper. This is by far my favorite paper print to use for fine art printing. It has a really nice rag texture and presents details in a stunning way. This paper is 100% cotton, has a beautiful platinum finish for that classic darkroom look. This paper is 310 gsm with a thickness of 15.6 mil and is rated with a whiteness of 89.12%. These are shipped to you in a protective tube and should be taken directly to your framer to prevent unintentional damage.

Fine Art Nature Photography Metal Prints

This popular option meets your rigorous fine art nature photography expectations while keeping the overall cost down. Using the highest quality inks and the trained eyes of master printers, your fine art print is first printed on a high-resolution transfer medium. It is then placed in careful registration against a coated aluminum sheet scientifically engineered for maximum image performance and longevity. Using precisely determined temperatures, calibrated machine speeds and attention to detail, the image along with the aluminum receiver are heated – swelling the special coating while evaporating the inks. The thirsty coating absorbs the printing dyes and hardens as it cools – locking the artwork into the protective barrier. Metal prints are known for their wide gamut allowing for very saturated colors. Two metal surfaces are available - a glossy surface with more pop and saturation (albeit with more glare and reflective properties), and a mid-gloss satin surface with similar color intensity and detail as the glossy option, with reduced glare. These fine art metal prints are waterproof, fade resistant, and stunning. What About Canvas Prints & Canvas Art?

I have printed on canvas many times in the past and it can make for stunning wall art; however, canvas paper is only printed at 200 dots per square inch, which forces the resolution of the photo to degrade. The types of photos that I create benefit from the highest possible resolution and that is why I currently do not print on canvas unless it is a custom order.

Lighting your Fine Art Landscape Photography Prints

Before you buy, make sure you have fully considered the lighting environment your artwork will be displayed in. It's important to note that if you have your brightness on your monitor turned all the way up, it will make photographs appear much brighter than they actually are in real life. However, when properly lit, a fine art print mounted with acrylic will have reactive properties which will make the artwork come to life with an incredible 3-D feel that almost makes them appear back-lit. Adding extra accent lighting will put your new fine art print at center stage so it commands attention as a breathtaking focal point in the room. A ChromaLuxe metal photo is incredibly glossy and benefits greatly from proper lighting as well to prevent unwanted reflections and glare.

Make sure that you never place your art on a wall that receives direct sunlight. Even with the UV protection built into the acrylic, sunlight contains infrared radiation which will damage and fade your fine art print. Avoid direct sunlight at all costs. Additionally, direct sunlight will create glare and reflection in almost all scenarios!

Be careful of heat damage. Placing accent lights too close to your photo can also cause heat damage . Put your hand in front of the print with your lights turned on; if you can feel any heat, those bulbs are too close.

Additionally, never use fluorescent lighting. These bulbs not only emit a lot of ultraviolet light which can fade the photo, but the color of the light distorts the natural colors in your photograph, making them appear unnatural. I recommend you use LED bulbs - they produce a low amount of heat, are energy efficient, and produce the most natural color balance to display your wall art. Also, I recommend getting bulbs in the 3000K to 4000K spectrum for the most natural lighting experience.

Lastly, I recommend you aim your light from above at a 30 degree angle - this prevents reflections from the light source and prevents shadows cast by you, the viewer!

I have a 40" x 60" acrylic print hanging in my own home and have followed these steps to really bring the print to life. I wanted to showcase this as an example for you here so you can see how little glare is created when the print is properly lit. This is in an office space with an open window to the outside directly opposite of the print.

Once a purchase is placed through the website, it is reviewed personally by me to ensure everything is in order and afterwards I ensure that it is sent to my lab for production within 24 hours (unless I'm out creating new images). Acrylic fine art prints require up to 3 weeks of production time. This is because each piece is created on-demand using a meticulous process and high quality materials which ensures your artwork is made to stand up to the most rigorous standards. My goal is that you will be completely satisfied with your investment. Fine Art Paper prints and Dye Sublimation Metal Prints require 1-2 weeks of production time. If a rush is required, please e-mail me to inquire about additional costs and feasibility. Prints larger than 40" may require additional production time.

Shipping and crating of your prized photos is included at no additional cost anywhere in the United States. International buyers should contact me for a quote prior to buying wall art. All images over 40" are crated to ensure safe delivery. Our shipping crates are a work of art, each one designed to ensure that your purchase arrives without damage. Please note photos may require a signature to be delivered to ensure that it is not stolen. Large wall art exceeding 40" on the smallest dimension, and/or 60" on the longest dimension will be sent via freight in nearly indestructible crates. In the extremely rare case where photography art is damaged during delivery, all you need to do is simply photograph the packaging and the artwork and e-mail me directly. A replacement order will be placed into production and a second delivery made as soon as possible. Loose fine art paper prints will be shipped in a tube, so I recommend taking them directly to your framer before opening. I can also ship the fine art print directly to your framer.
