Last Light on the Cimarrons (2019)

Ridgway, Colorado

On the very last day of my fall colors trip here in Colorado we were finally treated to some clouds after several days of just wind and sun. Don’t get me wrong, I love me some sun, but the photos I had planned really needed some clouds. I really enjoyed the challenge of finding some intimate scenes with full sun, and got some of those too. I know this scene isn’t original but when my friend Kane and I looked at the forecast we knew that this area had the best chance for interesting light and both felt compelled to check it out. I was very happy with these results - steely blue clouds and amazing directional light hitting Courthouse Mountain and Chimney Rock. A magical combo with the scrub oak and aspen groves basked in Autumn glory. The Cimarron Mountains near Ridgway, Colorado are so magical, I can't help but to go back every year.

Fine Art Paper Print

Last Light on the Cimarrons (2019) print

Your artwork is printed on beautiful Epson Cold Press Bright White Fine Art Paper. This is by far my favorite paper print to use for fine art printing. It has a really nice rag texture and presents details in a stunning way. By default, I mount each print on 2mm styrene, which makes them ready to matte and frame. Please note that once you receive the print, you will need to be extremely careful with your method of handling the artwork so it is not damaged. Check out this video on this particular medium and why I think it looks so good!

ChromaLuxe Fine Art Metal Print - Ready To Hang

Last Light on the Cimarrons (2019) print

ChromaLuxe Metal Prints are produced using Dye Sublimation technology to infuse inks into specialized aluminum plates that have been finished with a fine multiple layer polymer. ChromaLuxe’s archival qualities, image brilliance, and durability make it an excellent all-around choice.

Two metal surfaces are available - a glossy surface with more pop and saturation (albeit with more glare and reflective properties), and a mid-gloss satin surface with similar color intensity and detail as the glossy option, with reduced glare. By default I print on glossy unless you indicate otherwise by contacting me.

My ChromaLuxe metal prints are finished with a float mount system on the reverse and either a z-bar or wire for effortless hanging on delivery. No exterior framing is required.

The process of printing on this medium can rarely result in defects in the print medium that are barely noticeable. This is not something that can be controlled in the lab.
